Hello! How are you? I am Roxana and I want to send you warm greetings. I hope every member of your family is enjoying our Lord’s blessings. Thank God, my whole family and I are in good health. My father works as a construction helper and farms the land; he grows corn and black beans and we use it for our consumption. My mother weaves typical clothes and raises domestic animals for selling when we need money. There are three children in the family and I am the oldest one. My brother is not registered at the feeding program yet becuase he is still too young. I faithfully attend the program because I really enjoy the dishes I receive there. All of the dishes are delicious.
I attended first grade last year and I passed it, so I am now in second grade. It has been difficult for me to learn to write and read but I am sure I will improve these skills little by little. My teacher plays with us and we usually play a game called “The cat and the mouse”. I have met new friends and their names are Berta, Rufina, Juana and Marisela. They are also part of the feeding program. My family and I attend Church of Christ on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday afternoon. My favorite season is Christmas because we receive presents. My mother prepares “tamales” (typical dish) and we share them with our family. We feel very happy on that day because we only eat tamales once a year. Take care of yourself. I hope to hear from you soon.
With much love
Roxana Yohana Toj Garcia
