My Story

Hello! My name is Marvin Oswaldo. I am 15 years old. I am attending 8th grade and I receive study guides to study from home. I have to deliver my homework to my teacher every 15 days at school. For me, it is very difficult to learn without my teacher´s support. Mathematics is very hard for me. My biological father abandoned us years ago. I had a stepfather, but he no longer lives with us since the beginning of this year. So, my mother struggles to support our family; she works in a tortilla shop but does not earn very much.

Unfortunately, at the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic, my mother lost her old job in the restaurant. Since then, it has been very difficult for my mother to support our family. She was helping a lady to sell food to earn some money. Thanks to God´s mercy, we have been blessed with goods from kind neighbors. God is so good with us and has never left us alone. We appreciate the grocery bags that Living Water / Adopt A Child has given us. The groceries were really useful for because we could feed ourselves for a time. Thank you very much for blessing us through LW. We pray to God asking for many and rich blessings to you and LW staff for blessing children, especially during this pandemic situation. Thank God, we are healthy and the covid-19 has not affected us. We attend Calvary Church twice per week. I want to let you know that an evangelism teacher of LW called my mother, Amalia Chiquin by phone to get this updated information since the feeding program is still closed due to the pandemic. I say goodbye to you for now. May God bless you greatly!

With much love,

Marvin Oswaldo Chen Chiquin
