My Story

I send you warm greetings hoping you are doing well. I am Astrid Gabriela Mendez Giron, and I want to update you about my life. First, I will tell you about my family. Currently, we are members of New Jerusalem Church, and we attend services on Monday, Thursday and Sunday. LW Evangelism team has encouraged us to continue trusting in God. We are a humble family, and our greatest needs are groceries. We have hens at home. My father’s name is Cesar. He is 40 years old, and he is in good health. He works as a truck driver, and he supports us financially. Sadly, my mother passed away years ago. I am now under the care of my grandmother, Rosa Maria Zapon, while my father goes to work. She is very grateful to Living Water and you because I am blessed with delicious meals twice a week; those days she does not cook. You are very important in my life.

And now, I want to tell you a little about myself. I turned 13 in April, and I am healthy. I am in seventh grade this year, and I like attending school in person because I learn more. My father does not earn much money, so it has been difficult for him to cover my school expenses. I want to become a teacher in the future. My favorite year’s celebration is Christmas because I share time with my family and we eat “tamales”. I enjoy eating my favorite food on my birthday. I would like to learn English. I love drinking Coca-Cola, and among the sports, I prefer soccer. I will end my letter wishing you the best.
