My Story

Special regards from Zacualpa town! I am so happy to share a little bit about my life with you through this letter. First, I want you to know that LW-Adopt A Child has blessed me with food for about six years. My parents are deeply grateful for all the benefits that my siblings and I have received there. I am Cerbando de la Cruz Ajqui, and before having my meals, I usually receive Bible lessons. What I like the most is praying. Luckily, I am a healthy 11-year-old boy. I am in fourth grade and I like the cold weather because it gets cloudy, which helps me to not get a sunburn. I usually help my mother to put away my clothes, while she keeps busy doing other chores. She also raises chickens for our consumption.

My father works hard as a day laborer to support our family. In order to earn a little extra income, we all travel to the coast and work in a coffee farm from November to January. Thankfully, nobody in my family is sick. We attend the Catholic Church and what motivates us to persevere there are listening to God’s word through the scriptures and learning how to take care of our salvation. My father thinks that he will be admitted into Heaven because Jesus died on a cross to save us. I will leave you now, but I kindly ask you to pray for my whole family, especially for my father so that he does not lack work. See you later!
