My Story

I fondly greet you hoping the Lord is pouring bountiful blessings upon you. This is Elmer Abdiel Rosales Morente and I am 12 years old. Praise the Lord, we continue attending Jesus the Light of the World Assembly of God Church every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. We are grateful to the Living Water evangelism team who shared the gospel and encouraged us to seek God and to be sure of our Salvation in Jesus Christ. My mother`s name is Sebastiana Morente Tiu and she is 33 years old. She is a housewife. At home, she raises hens for our family’s consumption. Currently, my mother visited her doctor, and he told her that she is at risk of developing cancer in her womb. Fortunately, she is under medical treatment, and she is recovering. I ask for your prayers for her and for me because I appear to be in good health, but I have epilepsy.  At the moment, I do not have medical treatment. My father`s name is Elmer Eduardo Rosales Gomez and he is 33 years old. Thank God, he continues earning a living by working as a carpenter. We are grateful to LW because we have been blessed in our lives for instance, with the meals, medical, dental attention, and spiritual support. I want to express my gratitude for the Christmas gift that I receive every year.

This year I am in 5th grade. I am receiving face-to-face classes from Monday to Friday, and I have been learning well so far!  My father is making an effort to cover my school expenses even though he does not have a stable job, and school supplies are so expensive that sometimes it is hard for him to cover my expenses. Most of the people in my town speak our native dialect Maya Quiche, so I would like to learn it and improve my communication with them. My dream is to become a vet. My favorite season of the year is summer because I enjoy going to the swimming pools. I like to drink blackberry juice. For my birthday, I like to eat “pollo dorado” (fried chicken) which is my favorite meal and to have a “piñata” (a kind of poppet full of candies.) About sports, I prefer to play soccer.  As a humble family, our priority needs are corn, groceries, and clothes. May God bless you richly!

Warm wishes,

Elmer Abdiel Rosales Morente
