My Story

I greet you in the name of Jesus and I wish you a happy and successful day. I want to share some news about my family and me through this letter. I am Gloria Evelin Tzoy Garcia and I am 17 years old, but I will turn 18 in August. Thank God we continue attending the Methodist Church twice a week. We thank the LW evangelism team for their encouraging words. I am sure of my salvation in Jesus. As you know, I have not been studying for some years, but I am weaving typical blouses and napkins to sell and get some income in order to earn some money for my own expenses. My dream is to become a teacher. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn Spanish and improve my communication with other people. My favorite celebration of the year is Christmas because we eat “tamales” (a typical dish). Pepsi-Cola is what I like to drink. What I like to have for my birthday is a delicious cake. I ask for your prayers for my mother because she continues suffering from gastritis problems. Fortunately, she visited the doctor and she is taking medicine. Thank God, the rest of my family and I are in good health.

My mother`s name is Estela Garcia Garcia. She is 40 years old. At the moment, she is a housewife, and she is raising hens, pigs, sheep, and cows to sell and get some income. As you know, my biological father abandoned the family some years ago. Nowadays, my older brothers are working and supporting the family with home expenses. We grow corn for the family`s consumption. As a humble family, our current needs are groceries and clothes. We are grateful to Living Water because we have been blessed with meals, medical and dental, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive at the end of the year. I hope you enjoy reading my letter.  May God bless you!

Warm regards,

Gloria Evelin Tzoy Garcia
