My Story

I send you my best regards and I hope you are in good health when my letter reaches you. This is Genesis Nahomi Osorio de Leon. My family and I attend the Catholic Church from Duenas and we like to participate in the Holy Week activities such as the religious processions on the streets from our village and we enjoy the colorful carpets. My grandmother Maria Margarita helped LW team to collect this information.  I have been comforted by God and he is helping me to get over the death of my father. He passed away one year ago; he was not living with us but I was so sad. He had an alcohol vice.  For me, Jesus is my heavenly father and also my savior. I admire my grandmother because she loves me so much and she also takes care of us. My best friend is Natalie and we met five years ago. We like to talk when we are together. I am a 5^th grade student and I am a healthy twelve year old girl. 

I want to tell you that my mother is not living with us because she works in Guatemala City as a maid and she visits us once a month. She is in good health. She sustains the family and my grandmother looks after us while she is working. My grandparents are Mr. Jose Ignacio and Maria Margarita. We live have lived with them for six years, and my grandfather is earning a living by tending a hardware store in order to contribute to home expenses and my grandmother does the chores at home. It was my little story and I hope you like to read it. May God bless you greatly!
