My Story

Hello! I greet you in the name of Jesus and hope you have a brilliant and happy day. I want to share some news about my family and me through this letter. I am Axel Geovany Salazar Hernandez, and I am 9 years old. At the moment, we are not attending any church. We are grateful to the LW evangelism team who shared the gospel with my mother and for their encouraging words. This year, I am in 3^rd grade at school. I continue receiving face-to-face classes every day and I am learning a lot easier with this study method and enjoy spending time with my classmates. Nowadays, my parents are making an effort to support my siblings and me at school in spite of the school fees being so expensive and that they do not have a stable job. When I am older, I want to become a teacher. I speak Spanish where I live, so I would like to learn a Mayan dialect called “Kaq`chiquel”; I think it is a very important part of our culture. My favorite time of the year is when the leaves fall from the trees. Banana smoothie is my favorite beverage. Soccer is the sport that I prefer. What I like to do for my birthday is to play soccer with my family. Thank God, my family and I are in good health.

My mother`s name is Gladis Angelica Hernandez Ordoñez. She is 31 years old. At the moment, she earns a living by working as a maid in order to help with home expenses. My father`s name is Marvin Geovany Salazar Tahual.  He is 32 years old. He continues working as a mason and he supports our family financially. As you know, my parents were separated for a long time, but thank God my father returned to our house in October and now he is living with my mom again. As a big and humble family, our needs are groceries. We are very grateful to Living Water because we have been blessed with meals, medical and dental, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive every year´s end. I hope you like my letter. May God take care of you everywhere you are!
