My Story

Hello! I hope everything is running well in your life. My name is Emily Solangie Dayanne Chin Cuin, and I am 12 years old. I am in 6th grade this year, and I am receiving classes two or three times a week as well as working with study guides. I deliver my homework when the teachers ask for it. I am doing a good job at school. We have internet at home, and it is useful for me. I miss attending the feeding program because I ate delicious dishes, learned about God and had fun, so I hope it can open its doors again soon. I used to walk for 20 minutes to arrive to the program. My mother is working in a non-profit organization called “Vidas Plenas”, and there, she cooks and does the cleaning. My stepfather works doing different kind of jobs. He does construction work, carries heavy packages for others and makes trips on a motorbike. We do not have the custom to celebrate Christmas because my grandpa passed away on those days, and it makes us feel sad.

We are attending Offering from the King Church, and it is located 10 minutes from our house. My parents are leaders at church, and I play the drums. We felt sad when we did not have services due to the pandemic because we did not meet with our brethren. We live in our own house, and it has one room and one kitchen. The house is made of concrete block and wood with a tin sheet roof and concrete-dirt floor. We have running water and electricity services. We were financially and emotionally affected by the current virus, and it affected my parents’ health; fortunately, we could overcome thanks to God and pir loved ones. I would like to ask you to pray for us since we are in need of food and have to pay many bills. My family and I are healthy, except for my grandma who suffers from diabetes and is under a medical treatment to control it. I tell you that my mother helped me to give this information to an Evangelism teacher.

Yours truly

Emily Solangie Dayanne Chin Cuin
