My Story

Dear Madrina, this is your sponsored child Dominga Catarina Benito Larios and I want to tell you in this opportunity that my father also was registered in the Feeding Program. He told us that he enjoyed the delicious fried chicken and “Chow Mein” (Chinese food) and also the Christmas gift. My mother is thankful for the benefits for free I have in the Project because they are a big blessing in my life. She enrolled me twelve years ago and I like to participate in the activities from the Bible classes.

About our spiritual life, we belong to the Christian Church and we enjoy the way that we are welcomed to the services. A LW teacher prayed for my mother`s health and encouraged her to continue seeking God because we are assured of our salvation in Jesus. If he asks us someday, why I must let you enter heaven, we will answer: because we have accepted you in our hearts.  I would like to serve God in the Sunday School.

I am seventeen years old and I help my mother by sweeping the floors, making tortillas and cooking. Hot days make me feel exhausted, so I prefer cold weather. Thankfully, my parents and I are in good health. I live with them, my older and married brothers, and my nephews also live with us in the house. They all share the expenses with my parents. My father earns a living as a farmer and day laborer while my mother is dedicating her time to the family and household duties. Unfortunately, she is suffering from diabetes, and even though she takes natural medicines, she continues feeling sick. I beg for your prayers for her.
