My Story

Special regards! I am Ernesto Elisandro Lopez Quexel and it is such a great privilege to write this letter for you. I am 12 years old and fortunately, I am in good health. What about you? I am in fifth grade and I like both cold and hot weather. I usually make my bed to contribute to the household chores and I like attending mass at the Catholic Church together with my family. We know that walking the narrow way to get into Heaven is difficult since we are sinners, but we must strive to look for God every day in order to reach our spiritual goal. Sister Raquel (a member of the LW staff) recently congratulated and encouraged us to move forward with God’s favor. I want to use this opportunity to express to you how grateful my family and I are for the medical care and food that I have received at the feeding program during the last eight years.

My aunts encouraged me to go to the feeding program since they used to do it when they were children. What my mother enjoyed the most was having delicious food and praying alongside many other children. Today, she is a healthy woman and earns her own income by selling homemade food at a nearby school. My father continues making a living as a baker, but his health condition is not well. Could you please pray for him? He was diagnosed with bronchitis, and due to that, the doctor prescribed clavulin and penicillin. We live with our relatives and everybody contributes to cover the expenses. We are five families in total at home. This is all for now, but I thank you so much for taking the time to read my information. My mother helped me to compose this letter for you. Until next time!
