My Story

Hello! I greet you cordially and I hope you and your family are doing fine and blessed by our Lord Jesus. I am Jose Oswaldo Garcia Garcia. I am 13 years old and through this letter, I want to share a little about my family and me. My mother`s name is Paula Garcia De La Cruz. She is 31 years old. At the moment, she continues doing chores at home. In addition, she is raising hens to sell and get some income. My father`s name is Domingo Garcia De La Cruz and he is 38 years old. Nowadays, he earns a living by working as a mason helper and he supports us with home expenses.  We grow corn and “guisquil” (a kind of vegetable) for our family`s consumption. Thankfully, we are attending the Assembly of God Church every Tuesday. We are grateful to the LW evangelism team for their encouraging words during the visit to my mother. I want to let you know that all my family and I are in good health.

This year I am in 6^th grade at school.  I am receiving face-to-face classes every day. I prefer this study method because I learn a lot about the subjects. Thank God, my father strives to support me at school even though he does not have a stable job. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn English; I think this is an interesting language. My dream is to travel to the United States and look for a job in order to help my family. My favorite celebration of the year is Christmas because I like to light fireworks.  Peach juice is the beverage that I prefer. What I like for my birthday is to eat some snacks and spend the day with my family. Among sports, I prefer cycling. We are grateful to Living Water because I receive the meals, medical and dental attention, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive at the end of the year.
