My Story

Hello! This is Yesenia Esmeraldina De la Cruz Luis and I am 10 years old now. I started school and I am in Pre-kinder. I feel so blessed to be part of the feeding program. I began attending five years ago and what I like the best is to hear God’s word. My brother and I travel to the Coast to work in a coffee plantation along with our father. At home, I like to help my mother to cook. During the summer, I enjoy going to the river to swim. I would like to be part of the praise team.

I have a wonderful family. They are in good health, thank God. My father is a hardworking man. He does various jobs to support our family. He works as a day worker, travels to the coast during the coffee season, and in addition, he works as a cargador carrying vegetables from one place to another in Guatemala City. My mother is in charge of our family. She does the chores at home and she spends time raising chickens and pigs to sell. My parents are grateful for the support, medical attention and extra gifts that we have received in our family.

My family attends a Pentecostal Christian Church called “Manantial Jesucristo El Buen Pastor”.
