My Story

Hello! I send you kind greetings, and I hope you are receiving many blessings. I am Fabian Azael Everildo Velasquez Alvarado, and I am eight years old. This year, I am in the first grade at school. The teachers assign us study guides to work at home. Thank God, I am doing well, and the lack of face-to-face classes has not affected me The thing I missed from the feeding program was the food because it is delicious. The program is about fifteen minutes from our house. Fortunately, we have been receiving groceries bags from the feeding program, and it has been a great help for us. Sadly, both of my parents are in prison since some years ago. I do not know about them. I live with my grandmother, and she works as a maid. She supplies my needs. We spend good time as a family when we take our dinner and talk about our day.

We are a low income family so we collect money with our relatives for the Christmas dinner. My family and I are members of a Catholic Church called ¨Santo Cura de Ars¨. We felt bad when our church closed due to the pandemic because we missed attending it and giving thanks to God. We live in my great-grandmother´s house which is made of block walls, tin sheet roof and cement floor. We have one room and cook with my great-grandmother. There is running water and electricity at home. We share the house with my great-grandmother and other relatives. Our needs are: food, clothes and shoes. Thank God, we are healthy. The pandemic situation has affected us because there is not much work, and there is not much money to buy food. I want you to know that my great-grandmother gave this information about me. I thank you for taking the time to read my letter. I hope to have news from you soon. May God provide your needs!

With much love and many blessings,

Fabian Azael Everildo Velasquez Alvarado
