My Story

Hello! This is Karina and I am so grateful to you for taking the time to read my information. Let me tell you that

I attend the Catholic Church in Zacualpa town. My family and I go to mass on Sundays. I really trust God is in my heart. The people who I live with are my mother and my three siblings. My father does not live with us because he has another family. However, he visits and helps us economically every month. His name is Carlos Garcia, and he is 40 years old. He makes a living by carrying people or packages from one place to another in his vehicle. My mother is a housewife and keeps busy doing the chores and raising our pigs. Besides that, we have hens that my mother sometimes sells. Her name is Marta Jimon, and she is 37 years old. We are a humble family, so our needs are food supplies like sugar, spaghetti, and rice. In addition, it has been difficult for my mother to cover my school expenses because money is not enough. Therefore, I would like to count on your prayers for my family and me. Despite our low resources, we try to survive by cultivating corn and beans for our consumption. My siblings and parents are in good health, although I suffer from gastritis. Fortunately, I am under medical treatment now.

I am a second-grade student this year. I like to receive face-to-face classes as before the pandemic because it is easier to understand the lessons and how I should do homework. At the moment, I do not know what I want to be in the future, but what I clearly know is that I want to continue studying. Christmas is my favorite celebration because of the tasty tamales (this is a typical dish). I like drinking flavored juices, but I love cold tea. If someday, I have the opportunity of learning a new language, it would be English. My ninth birthday is in July. What I like to do for this is day is have a party. I like having fun with my siblings, specially riding the bike. Now, let me tell you that LW is a great blessing for my family and me because of the tasty lunches and medical care, besides hearing the gospel, which is the most important. Besides that, I want to tell you that my mother helped me to provide my news to a teacher of LW so that you could hear my last news. I leave you now, but I hope you find my letter engaging.

Special regards,

Karina Yohana Mishel Garcia Jimon
