My Story

I am so happy to greet you in the name of Jesus.  I am Irma Delia De La Cruz Grave and I am 12 years old.  I am so excited to share a little about my family and me. This year I am in 4th grade.  I am learning much better since I receive face-to-face classes and I enjoy sharing with my classmates every day. My father is doing his best effort to support me at school because he does not have a stable job and the money that he earns is not enough. I love the New Year celebration because my mother cooks a delicious lunch to share with the family.  My favorite beverage is “mosh” (a hot drink made with oat flakes, milk, cinnamon, and sugar).  I would like to learn English; I think it is a very interesting language. On my birthday I like to eat a delicious cake.  I do not have a special sport, so I like to run.

For a long time, we are not attending any church, but in this opportunity, the LW staff shared the gospel with us and we are sure that God loves us and is our father. My mother is Candelaria Grave Gutierrez and she is 35 years old. She does the chores at home and also takes care of my young siblings. Furthermore, she raises domestic animals like hens, pigs, and cows. At home, we grow corn and black beans for our consumption. My father is Agustin De La Cruz Calachij and he is 35 years old. He earns a living by working as a day laborer also he goes to the coast with my siblings for two months to work as farmers and to pick coffee beans. Thank God my family and I are in good health. We are so grateful to you and Living Water because thanks to your support I receive a delicious meal when I go to the Feeding Program, also I receive medical and dental attention in the clinics.  As a family, our priority needs are corn, black beans, and groceries.  I hope you like my letter.  May God bless you!

Lots of love,

Irma Delia De La Cruz Grave.
