My Story

I greet you in the name of Jesus, hoping you are doing well. My name is Estela, and I am excited to share my last news with you. My family and I attend a Christian Church on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It has helped us a lot to grow spiritually and trust in our salvation. My parents do their best to support our family. Celso Ajqui is my father. He is 37 years old and his health condition is good. He still works as a sweeper in the municipality of our town. Maria Riz is my mother. She is 35 years old and her health condition is good too. She is a housewife and raises hens to sell in case of need. Nowadays, we need groceries at home. We try to survive by growing corn for our consumption.

As for me, I want you to know that I dropped out of school because I am not interested anymore. Today, I dedicate my free time to help my mother to do the household chores. I am still young, so I have not thought about how to make a living when I am older. The rainy season is the best one because I love rain so much. I like drinking Coca-Cola. I turned fourteen years old in June. My family usually prepares a delicious lunch to celebrate my birthday. They sometimes also buy a cake. Thank you so much for reading my news! I say goodbye to you for now, but I want you to know that a teacher of LW spoke with my mother to collect this information for you. The feeding program has been a crucial project in my community. Thanks to you and many other good-hearted people, I can find so much help. That makes me feel blessed. I say goodbye to you for now, but I appreciate your kind attention.

With much love,

Estela Maribel Ajqui Riz
