My Story

My full name is Derik Emanuel Morales Popol, and I am so happy to share a little about my information with such a special person like you. I hope this letter finds you blessed and prosperous. By the grace of the Lord, I am a healthy 16-year-old boy. I am in sixth grade. I am grateful to be part of the feeding program. I like the Christmas activities, especially the dramas performed by the staff, because I have felt God’s presence. I identify with my mom because she is a hardworking woman. She is a single mother. She makes a living by taking care of an older woman. She has taught me that Jesus is our Heavenly Father and an unconditional friend. We are members of the Catholic Church. We like Holy Week so much because there are many activities at church. As you know, my father has not lived with us for many years. However, he just started to help us a little bit economically. He works as a farmer. To end this letter, let me tell you that my best friend’s name is David. We have been friends for about two years. We like playing soccer when we gather. Have a lovely day!
