Hello! I am so happy to write and send you this letter, and tell you about my life and family. I am Ethan, and I live in a slum area called “La Palmita” with my family. I want to open my heart to you and tell you about my homelife. My brother and I are now under the care of our aunt Arelis Gricel Soto Xar because our mother was not taking care of us and was mistreating us; she now has a legal restraining order, and a judge gave our custody to our aunt. My mother is not supporting us financially, so my aunt has to work hard to cover our needs; she works in a tortillas business. Our income is not much, so we are in need of groceries, shoes and a bed. We are not attending a church, but I hope we can do it soon. LW Evangelism team has shared God’s Word with us, and we are grateful for their words.
My full name is Ethan Jared Barahona Soto. I am 9 years old now, and I am fine and healthy. I want to become a soccer player or policeman when I am older, and I would like to learn English in the future. I am repeating 1st grade, and I prefer to attend school in person because I learn more. It has been difficult for my aunt to support me with my studies because she has many other expenses. Summer is my favorite season because I have vacation and can play with water when the weather is hot. I also enjoy my birthday when my aunt buys me a cake and we eat something delicious. I like playing soccer and drinking milk. Living Water and you are very important for us because I have been blessed in a great way through the feeding program and clinics. Well, I close my letter hoping to hear from you soon.
Kisses and hugs
Ethan Jared Barahona Soto
