Hello! Before anything else, I want to praise the Lord for allowing me to write this letter for you. My name is Luis Miguel Lopez Ordonez. Happily, I just turned 13 years old, and I live with my parents. This year, I am in fifth grade and work with worksheets that I pick up and deliver every 15 days. Besides that, I use WhatsApp to receive the instructions of the teacher, and because of that, my parents top up the phone with internet plans. Unfortunately, the current method is affecting me because I do not understand how to resolve the worksheets, but I am doing my best to pass my grade. Let me tell you that my father works in the field for other people to cover the household expenses. My mother also works hard doing the chores, preparing our meals, and taking care of me. I love my family and I take advantage of spending time with them on Sundays while we eat a delicious lunch and talk. The most awaited time of the year is Christmas, and last year, we enjoyed much sharing tasty meals as a family. I want to tell you that we live in a rented house made of tin sheets with a dirt floor. The house has one room, a separate kitchen, electricity, and running water.
As you know, this pandemic time has been hard for us because food increased. Despite that, we are grateful to the Lord because we are healthy. My family and I are members of the Catholic Church which is a twenty-minute walk from my home. When Covid-19 started, our church closed, and we missed attending mass. I also want to tell you that the feeding program was closed to avoid spreading the virus. However, the Living Water staff gave us food parcels, and I want to express my gratitude to you because we got them when we needed the most. Thankfully, the program is open again, and I am happy because what I missed the most was receiving the bible classes. When I go there, I usually walk for twenty minutes. Lastly, let me tell you that I gave this information to an evangelism team member to share with you my last news. I leave you for now, but do not forget that I love you so much.
From the bottom of my heart,
Luis Miguel Lopez Ordonez
