Hello! This is Leidy Paola Coj Chingo, and I fondly greet you from the beautiful mountains in Quiche, Guatemala. I am so happy to share that one of the most exciting and delightful experiences I have had is celebrating birthdays with my family and relatives. I am sure that God has provided us with all the essentials to enjoy with our loved ones. I admire my uncle Pedro the most because of his way of correcting my cousins and me. I turned 9 years old in February. Luckily, I am a healthy girl and attend the second grade. I made a good friend at school. Her name is Yenifer. We usually gather to do homework and play soccer. When somebody asks me who Jesus is to me, I say that He is God’s son, who gives us a new life and provides us with everything we need. I attend the Catholic Church alongside my family. We like Mass because people can offer thanks to God for a blessing, a new year of life, or even ask HIm to bless the crops.
I am glad because my family is doing well. My mother is dedicated to taking care of my brother, Jeremias. He is a boy with special needs. My mother raises and sells chickens to contribute to the expenses. My stepfather works hard to support our family. He makes a living as a day laborer in our village. Taking advantage of this opportunity, I ask you to pray for our well-being and needs. Jeremias needs a new wheelchair because the one that he has is in bad condition and too small. Unfortunately, we do not have enough economic resources to buy it, but we trust in God’s divine providence. To end this letter, I want you to know that my mother helped me share all this information with LW, so you could hear about it. Have a wonderful day!
In Jesus’ name,
Leidy Paola Coj Chingo
