My Story

Hello! My name is Marisol, and I am excited to tell you my last news through this letter. I hope your loved ones and you are doing well. I attend Prince of Peace Church. My family and I usually attend our services on Thursdays and Sundays. I am grateful to a teacher of LW for encouraging me to continue growing spiritually. My father’s name is Antonio Garcia Chingo, and he is 75 years old. Because of his advanced age, he does not work. Fortunately, he is in good health. My oldest brother is the one who covers all the expenses and needs at home. His name is Ramiro Garcia Luis. He is a healthy man who makes a living as a farmer and day laborer. My mother’s name is Marta Luis Morales, and she is 55 years old. She is a housewife and keeps busy raising turkeys and chickens to sell. She is a diabetic woman, but she is under medical treatment to keep her health stable. We need groceries at home. We are grateful to the Almighty because we can harvest corn, beans, mangoes, and bananas from our trees and fields.

I am 16 years old, and nowadays, I help my mom to do the household chores. I would love to make a living as a cook in the future. Besides that, I would love to speak English. My favorite holiday is Christmas because I can spend lovely moments with my family. I love drinking banana or strawberry shakes. There are many things that I like to do to celebrate my birthday. What I love the most is having a delicious cake to share with my family. My favorite sport is soccer, and by God’s grace, I am in good health. Taking advantage of this opportunity, I want you to know that LW is a valuable project for my family and me. Thanks to your support, many people in need like me can receive so much help. To end this letter, I want you to know that I gave all this information to a teacher of LW. I say goodbye to you now, but I hope to hear from you soon. Take care of yourself!

Kisses and hugs,

Marisol Garcia Luis
