My Story

Hello, I am Suleidy! It is a privilege to tell you about my life through this means. I hope this finds you having a fantastic day. My family and I attend the Prince of Peace Church on Thursdays and Saturdays. My mother, Angelica Suar, is 27 years old. She works hard by embroidering typical blouses and making tortillas in a tortilleria business to support our family. As you know, my father separated from my mother about two years ago. His name is Edwin de la Cruz, and he is 29 years old. Nowadays, he works as a cook. He occasionally helps us economically. While my mother goes to work, her parents take care of my sister and me. My grandpa, Pedro Suar, sells ice cream, and my grandma, Luisa Gutierrez, sells tamales at La Plaza to help my mother with the expenses. Besides their income, we raise pigs and hens to sell in case of need. Thankfully, my whole family and I are healthy. 

I am twelve years old and I want to become a vet. Therefore, I am doing my best as a fifth grader. I prefer the face-to-face classes because I learn the lessons so much better. Nowadays, everything is expensive. I want to use this time to ask for your prayers for my family and my mother. It has been economically hard for her to buy my notebooks. My favorite holiday is Holy Week because I use that time to clean and decorate my grandmother's grave. I love drinking Coca-Cola and playing soccer. Learning a new language like English catches my attention, so I hope to do it someday. I will have my birthday in November. What I love the most is having delicious meals and a cake to celebrate with my family. To end this letter, I want you to know that LW is a meaningful project. It helps us a lot with tasty lunches. A teacher of the evangelism team spoke with my mother to collect this information for you. He also encouraged her to continue trusting in Jesus our Savior. I say goodbye to you for now, but I pray the Lord blesses you richly!
