It is a pleasure to greet you in this opportunity and share my information with you. I am Heidy Micaela, and I am 10 years old. I am in 4th grade, and I am already receiving classes at school from Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 12:30 PM. I still do not know to read very well, and it was very hard for me to understand the lessons when I was studying from home. I hope to recover from it now that I am receiving face-to-face classes. While the feeding program was closed, I missed receiving my meals and playing with my friends. Thank God, the program is open again. I live 30 minutes away from the program by microbus or tuk-tuk. My father works selling spices in the market on Thursday and Sundays; he is responsible for our family. My mother does the chores at home, and she also raises and sells domestic animals. Moreover, she helps my father selling in the market.
We attend Catholic Church, and we walk about 30 minutes to arrive there. Thank God, our church continued as normal in spite of the pandemic, and we had to follow the biosecurity measures. By the grace of God, we are healthy. As a family, we enjoy spending good time together in the afternoons. We drink soda and share some snack. At Christmas, we celebrated with special mass, and then, we shared time with our relatives at home. We own the house in which we live. We have 4 rooms and a separate kitchen. These are made of block, tin sheet roof and cement floor. We have water and electricity services. For a time, the pandemic affected my parent´s sales, and it made things harder economically. However, we are so grateful to Living Water for the food parcels that they have delivered to us; each product is a great blessing for us. As a family our greatest needs are groceries, clothes and shoes. To finish, let me tell you that the LW staff called us asking for this update information, and my father gave it to them by phone. Every blessing for you!
Hugs and lots of love,
Heidy Micaela Tiniguar De La Cruz
