My Story

Hello! I greet you cordially hoping you are doing fine and wishing you a brilliant day. It is a good opportunity to tell you a little about my family and me through this letter. About me: I am Sonia Aracely Calachij Cortez and I am 7 years old. I am a healthy girl. I am in 1st grade at school this year and I go to study every morning. I spend my weekend by helping my grandmother doing chores at home. LW has blessed my family and my life through the delicious meals for lunch like the fried chicken that I love eating. Moreover, I have been blessed with medicines through the medical clinic. I enjoyed receiving the special gift and the different activities during the Christmas celebration at the Feeding Center in December. My family is grateful for every benefit that I have received from the Ministry.

About my family: My father`s name is Rolando Calachij Morales. As you know, he lives and works in Guatemala City and he comes to the house every two months.  He provides for my economic needs by working as a merchant and he is in good health. I continue living under my grandparents’ care. My grandfather`s name is Camilo Calachij. He is 67 years old. He works as a day laborer growing vegetables, beans and corn to sell and get some income. My grandmother`s name is Jacinta Morales.  She is 62 years old. She raises hens and pigs to sell. I ask for your prayers for strength for my grandparents.  As a family, we continue attending the Prince of Peace Church called “New Pact”. The LW team encouraged my older sister to continue seeking God during the visit and I am sure of my salvation because I accepted Jesus in my heart 2 years ago. I hope you enjoy reading my letter. May God bless you! (My older sister provided this information to the Evangelism teacher)

Huge hugs,

Sonia Aracely Calachij Cortez
