My Story

I am Byron Debarge, I am 15 years old and I live along with my mother and siblings. Last year I passed my 7th grade and unfortunately, this year I could not continue attending school due to lack of resources. So, for now, I do a review of my notebooks so I do not forget everything that I have learned so far. My mother is working in a bakery which is near our home; she is the one who supplies our family expenses. My father is not living with us and currently, he does not help us economically. However, he keeps in touch with us.

I want to let you know that a member of the AAC team called my mother, Sandra Mejia by phone to get this updated information since the feeding program is still closed due to the pandemic. Unfortunately, during this pandemic time we have been passing through difficulties because my mother does not have a stable job. Nevertheless, we are going ahead little by little with the support that we receive from my school and the feeding program. We are sure that our Lord is watching over us and has never left us alone and a sample of it is the blessing that we received from Living Water / Adopt A Child. My mother wants to give thanks for the groceries which were really useful for us since she could prepare our meals. So, my mother prays to God asking for many blessings to you and LW for the great help that you are giving to needy families like mine. Thank God, the covid-19 has been not affected my family so far. My brother Isaias suffers from asthma, my mother is going to take him to the doctor in the LW clinics. My family and I attended Lamb of God Church but we stopped going due to the pandemic. One LW member encouraged us to seek God, and continue attending church. I leave you for now. Many blessings!

Lots of love,

Byron Debarge Quevedo Mejia
