My Story

Hello! My name is Luljeta Balla. I am 51 years old and my birthday is on May 12^th. I am in young age to consider health issues, but I am challenged and not healthy. The doctors have diagnosed me with diabetic illness and I also have to keep taking blood pressure medication daily so that my blood pressure can be stable and in normal figures. I was married before but now I am living totally by myself, after having to divorce my husband. This happened about nine years before. I have four children and all of them stay near me. Some of them are grown up and they are supporting me. I am happy and proud that I have raised my four children and spend my whole life staying close to them.

I live in the village of Katjel and same as all people in our village, I try my best to work in the land and plant crops and vegetables. I have always planted vegetables for consumption, but no other job to receive a monthly pay, and no other financial support. Life has been hard for me especially while my children were too little, but now that they are growing, they are also working and helping me.

I am very happy that Adopt a Child team and the church in Katjel saw my needs and they registered me in the program to receive help in food. I am happy for the food packages I receive twice a month. I attend the Bible classes of the program and am happy to receive spiritual care and learn about the Lord. Thank you for your generosity and support! God bless you!
