My Story

Hello! My name is Genesis Arlhet, and I am delighted to share my latest news with you through this means. Before I continue with this, let me tell you that my mom helped me to give all this information to a member of the LW staff to share it with you. We are grateful to her because she talked with us about Jesus. It was a great blessing for our lives. At the moment, we do not attend any church. My stepfather is Edgar Alfredo Ruano Hernandez, and he is 37 years old. He still works as a messenger for a company called Tecnidiesel to support our family. My biological mom is Cesibel Noemi de la Roca Zeysi, and she is 38 years old. I have lived with her and her family for years. I want to open my heart and tell you that I used to live with my grandmother, on my father’s side. She took care of me since I was 7 years old because my mom had to work and did not have anybody to leave me with. My grandma helped my mom with me until I turned 10 years old. Since then, my mom has looked after me. She is a housewife and earns some money as a manicurist. Fortunately, we are all in good health.

Our economic situation has not gone well because everything is pricey. Some of our greatest needs are groceries and shoes. As for pets, let me tell you that we have three parakeets, two turtles, and many fish. Now, I want to tell you a little bit more about me. I am 15 years old, and this year, I was in ninth grade. I prefer to receive face-to-face classes because when I have doubts, I can ask for the teacher’s help. There are many things that I would love to do when I am older. Some of them are to become a medical examiner or a vet, and speak English. I like drinking cold tea, and my favorite holidays are Christmas and New Year’s Day. My birthday is on January first. I love wearing new clothes to celebrate a new year of life. To end this letter, let me tell you that LW has been a tremendous blessing for my stepbrother and me. We can receive medicine when we get sick or attend the dental clinics. Thank you so much for trusting in this project! I say goodbye to you for now, but I hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely yours,

Genesis Arlhet Melendez De La Roca
