Child
My name is Ester. I am 6 years old and my birthday is on April. I am doing well and in good health. My favorite color is pink and my future dream is to become an English teacher. I started school on September this year for the first time and this was a new experience for me. I was exited and happy to get to know with my new classmates and teachers. I spend the first part of the day learning at school and having fun afterwards with my classmates. I enjoy learning and my favorite subject that I like to study best is ABC. I like to spend time outside to play outside with my friends who live near. My favorite game is hide and seek. After playing for a while with my friends I go inside and continue to play with my dolls. I also like to sit and watch cartoons. My favorite cartoon to see is Frozen and the character I like the most in this cartoon is Rossi. I have a brother who is younger. I like to play together with him and make drawings for him so he can color, during the time I sit to study. I love him and spend a lot of time caring for him, since my mother at times gets too busy carrying for my father. I live in a village that belongs to the community of Korca. I visit the town of Pogradec very often, almost every weekend because here live my grandparents and uncle. For this reason, I like to come and be part of the sponsorship program of Adopt a Child and have frequented church services regularly together with my uncle and mother. During the weekends my grandparents and uncle care for me and my brother while my mother does housekeeping and cares for my father. My father had an accident and got injured in his spine. He was injured badly and from that time and on he is invalid and tetraplegic. Because of the injury in his head he is also unable to speak well. The local government treats my father with an amount which is titled as invalid pension. My mother was a teacher of history before and was working part time. She gave up her job so that she can stay in the house to care for my father and to dedicate herself to our family and raise my brother and me. We live only with the invalid pension that my father receives and because of low income, the family of my grandparents and my uncle help us. We are thankful to the program of Adopt a Child for the food packages they deliver to my brother and me constantly. My brother is also registered in the program. At present the food packages mean a lot to our family. God bless you richly for supporting a child with needs like mine.
