My Story

This is Kimberly Mishel Rodriguez Coj, and I am writing this to update my 2023 information. First, I will tell you about my family. Currently, we are not attending a church due to the lack of time, but we believe in God and we are assured of our Salvation. We raise hens and grow corn for our consumption. We are a humble family, and our greatest needs are groceries. I tell you that my father, Ramiro who is 31 years old, has abandoned us. Now, my mother covers all our basic needs. She is 30 years old and is in good health. She is working in a tortillas business in Guatemala City, and she comes home every six months. My maternal grandma’s name is Magdalena, and she is 58. She takes care of us while my mother is away. She sometimes does the laundry of others to help with the income.

Now let me tell you a little about myself. I am 8 years old, and I am healthy. I am in 2nd grade, and I am happy to receive face-to-face classes because I understand the lessons. It has been difficult for my mother to cover my school expenses. I want to get a good job when I am older. My favorite celebration is Christmas because I can eat delicious “tamales”. I would like to receive a cake when it is my birthday. I prefer soccer as a sport, and I love drinking “Mosh” (hot beverage made from oats). It would be incredible to learn English language in the future. Living Water is very important in my life, and I am grateful for the delicious food received. I hope to hear from you soon.

All the best
