My Story

I hope this letter finds you happy and healthy. I am so glad to have you as my sponsor! This is Delsy Marleny De la Cruz Ajanel, I turned 7 years old this year. I love to attend school. I am a first-grade student. I feel so blessed to receive my meal at school, because it is near our home. I enjoy feeding the chickens and this is my small contribution to helping at home. In Guatemala, we only have two seasons: winter and summer. To tell the truth, I prefer winter because it is cold and refreshing.

I have a big, beautiful family so my parents make an effort to provide the best for all of us. My father is a great father and he works farming the land in addition to working as a day worker. My mother is a homemaker. She struggles to improve our income by raising and selling chickens. It is gratifying to see her at home every time I come back from school. We are all doing really well, thank God. My parents are grateful for the support that we have received through Living Water. They remember when they heard about the feeding program that came to bless our community with free meals. As you know, we are part of a Catholic group called the Charismatic Renewal. We seek to have a good relationship with God and learn more about his grace. The thing that I like most is the worship. My mother believes in God; she places her trust in Him as her Lord and Savior. She wants to ask for your prayers that her children will always seek more of God. I am waiting to have a good news from you soon!
