My Story

Hello! It is a pleasure to greet you and I hope you are doing fine. I want to share some news about my family and me. My name is Maria Jose Martinez Arias and I am 19 years old. Thank God, we are attending the Jehova`s Garden Church every Tuesday, and Sunday. This year, I am in the 10th grade of “Bachillerato en Ciencias y Letras” (1st year of training in sciences and art). I am receiving face-to-face classes every day. I love this study method because I learn a lot about the topics. My mother strives to support my sister and me at school. Currently, school fees are expensive, and sometimes it is difficult to cover all expenses. I speak Spanish, but I would like to learn English; I think this is a very interesting language. When I am older, I want to become a nurse. Summer is my favorite season of the year because I like the warm weather. I enjoy drinking only water. I want to let you know that I celebrate my birthday by spending the day with my family. I ask for your prayers for me because I was left with some physical impairments in my left arm and right leg since I had heart surgery. Thank God my family is in good health.

My mother`s name is Concepcion de Maria Martinez. She is 47 years old. At the moment, she continues cleaning houses, washing and ironing clothes for others in order to support us with home expenses due to the absence of my father.  As you know, he abandoned us some years ago. As a humble family, our current needs are groceries, clothes, and shoes. We are grateful to Living Water because we have been blessed for instance with meals, medical and dental, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gifts that you sent to me at the end of the year. May God bless you greatly!

Lots of love,

Maria Jose Martinez Arias
