My Story

Hello! How are you? I hope you are doing well. I am Brenda Maribel Garcia Garcia, and I am writing you to tell you about my life. Currently, my family and I are members of the Catholic Church, and we attend the mass on Monday. We are assured in our Salvation, and we have heard attentively when LW Evangelism team has shared us the Gospel. We have sheep, turkeys, hens and pigs, and we sell them when they grow up. We grow corn and black beans for our consumption, and we also grow herbs and radishes but they are for selling in the market on Sunday. The corn is not enough for the family, so it is one of our greatest needs. My father’s name is Camilo. He is 53 years old, and he is healthy. He works as a day laborer from Monday to Friday. My mother’s name is Guadalupe. She is 53 years old and is healthy too. She is a housewife, works as a weaver, and raises domestic animals to help with the home income.

I am 12 years old, and I am in good health. I am in 6th grade, and it is better for me to attend school in person because there is more time to learn the lessons. I want to become a teacher in the future. My favorite season of the year is winter because there is more water in the rivers, and it is useful for the family since we consume water from there. I do not do something especial for my birthday, but I would like to celebrate it someday. I love drinking orange sodas, and I prefer swimming as a sport. I speak Quiche dialect as my first language, so I want to improve my Spanish. Living Water and you are very important for me, and I have been blessed in a big way through the feeding program. I hope you find my letter interesting.

Kisses and hugs
