Zacualpa

Zacualpa is a small but busy village in a mountain valley. The village is inhabited by both Quiché Indians and Ladinos (those with mixed European ancestry). The prevalent language is Spanish. Families in this village live in one or two room homes generally constructed of either wood or adobe. Although many of the people are farmers, the village contains several small, specialized stores, a body repair shop for buses, mechanics, plumbers and many other smalltown tradesmen. It also has a large open-air market which serves much of the area. Even with all of this, the poverty level is very high, and the children are very needy.
I would like to start by telling you about me. Thank you for your interest in knowing me. My name is Oliver Danilo Aqui Soy, I was born on March 17, 2015. I am 9 years old. I attend school this year and I am in the 3rd grade. My hobby is watching television. My health is good thanks to God. I like green, and my favorite animal is the cat. I love eating fried chicken. I walk alone to the feeding program for 15 minutes.
Carlos Ajqui Alvarado is my father, and he struggles to support our family by selling smoothies and saved ice with syrup and fruits in the local plaza with my mother. Her name is Elidia Tzoy Morente de Ajqui. She also takes care of us and the house. I have two brothers, Michael and Eldy and one sister, Katty. They are also registered in the feeding program. We live in my paternal grandmother´s house. However, we do not pay any rent. The house has three rooms made of brick walls, cemented roof and granite floor. There is electricity and running water that my father pays monthly and annually. Our domestic animals are chickens and turkeys. As a family, we attend the Prince of Peace Church. Our main necessity is food. Our health is good thankfully. Well, I just wanted to add that my father gave all this information to the LW team. Thank you for taking the time to read it. May God bless you greatly!
Kisses and hugs,
Oliver Danilo Ajqui Tzoy
