My Story

I am Damian Chingo Chingo, and it is a blessing for me to greet you through this. I hope you and your family are healthy when this finds you. I am twelve years old. This year I do not attend school due to the lack of resources. So, I am working farming the land to help my family economically. The time the feeding program was closed due to the pandemic, I missed a lot delicious food. Thank God, it is open again. I get there in five minutes by walking. My father has alcohol problems, so he does not watch over us his family, but he does live with us. He is a very unstable person. My mother stays home doing the chores and taking care of us too. The only time we can spend together as a family, is dinnertime, so we eat, share and talk about everything. We do not usually celebrate Christmas due to the lack of resources. Currently, we are attending Full Gospel Church, located half an hour by walking. The time it was closed due to the pandemic, we felt sad because we were not able to attend it. Everything is normal already, thank God.

We rent two-room house with separate kitchen. The house is made of mud-brick, clay roof tiles for the roof and concrete floor. It has running water and electricity. The house is in good condition. Let me tell you that pandemic did affect my family’s economy. There was lack of work, so we could not work what we needed. Food supplies is a greatest need for us, so the grocery bags we received from the feeding program was all a great blessing for all of us. Thank you very much for all the support we have received from all of you. May God pay you back greatly for what you have done. For now, my family and I are all doing well, thank God. To finish, I want you to know, my mom gave this information to an Evangelism team member to share with you my last news. I was glad to get in touch with you through this. I say good bye to you for now.

Thankfully,

Damian Chingo Chingo
