I greet you in the name of Jesus, hoping you are doing well. My full name is Alejandro De Jesus Xiloj Xam, and I am glad to share my updated information with you through this letter. I am 15 years old, and I am still under the care of my oldest sisters. I am so grateful to them because they cover my needs and education expenses. I am in ninth grade and attend school on the morning shift. My sister, Carla Tecu, works as a cashier in a gas station while my sister, Maribel Tecu, works as a receptionist. Fortunately, we are in good health. I ask you to pray for my whole family. Unfortunately, my mom is not doing well and has problems with alcohol. This hurts my sisters and me so much, but we trust God will help her to overcome her addiction someday. As for my father, let me tell you that he stopped being part of our family since he abandoned us.
I keep busy doing homework on weekends, but I take time attending church with my sisters. We are members of a Christian Church called Holy People. Let me tell you that a member of the LW staff encouraged me to trust God and give him everything that hurts me so I can have peace. I appreciate him so much; his advice was valuable to me. I am grateful to be part of LW-Adopt A Child because I know that Jesus loves me when I listen to the story about Jesus’ birth. I welcomed Him into my heart at the feeding program when I was nine years old. Besides spiritual support, the project has blessed me with food and medical and dental care. I would like to help others as the staff has done with me. So, becoming a collaborator for the project catches my attention. I say goodbye to you now, but thank you so much for reading my information. I hope to hear yours soon.
Sincerely yours,
Alejandro De Jesus Xiloj Xam
