My Story

I am so happy to write this letter to share with you my news. Before starting, thank you so much for taking the time to read my updated information. This is Jeferson Eliu Davila Chaicoj, and I am 13 years old. I will be turning 14 years old in October. I attend school as a seventh grader on the morning shift. I am studying hard to pass my grade. My favorite food is pepian (that is one of the typical casseroles from Guatemala). There are many things that I like to do on weekends, but my favorite pastime is listening to music. I feel grateful to LW-Adopt A Child because I can receive many benefits like food and medical and dental care. Everything has been a great blessing not only for me but also for my family. Let me tell you that I enjoyed my first Christmas celebration at the feeding program. What I enjoyed the most was the drama about Jesus’ life.

Now let me tell you that my whole family and I are doing well. I live with my father and younger brother Jordi. My father works hard as a plumber in EMPAGUA (Municipal Water Company) to supply our basic needs and expenses. As for my mom, let me tell you that she separated from my father a long time ago. She is not able to help us economically because she is unemployed. While she looks for a job, she visits us frequently. She even prepares our meals. Please pray for provision for my family and a job opportunity for my mom. In advance, thank you so much! My family and I do not attend any church. So, a member of the LW staff shared the gospel with us. My mom was grateful for the preaching and encouraging words. To end this letter, let me tell you that my family and I have two cats at home as pets. And tell me, do you have pets? I will leave you now, but I hope to hear about your life soon. See you later!

Lots of love,

Jeferson Eliu Davila Chaicoj
