My Story

It is a blessing for me to tell you about my life through this letter. My name is Melvin Steven, and I hope this finds you in good health. I am a member of a Christian Church called Rain of Grace. My mom and I attend services on Sundays. My mom is the only one who supports me. Her name is Irene Marisol Jolan Lopez, and she is 40 years old. She makes a living by promoting different types of brands in a supermarket. Fortunately, we are in good health. Some of our greatest needs are groceries. We have five dogs at home as pets. I am 18 years old, and I am in the third and last year of my professional career in Culinary Arts. I prefer to receive face-to-face classes because I can socialize with my classmates and understand the lessons much better. I study in a public school.

By God’s grace, my mom has been able to support my school supplies. I would love to make a living as a manager at a restaurant. I also would love to speak English someday. My favorite season is the rainy season because I love the cold weather. There are many sports, but my favorite is soccer and I love drinking horchata (it is a typical drink made of rice milk, cinnamon, sugar, and water). When my birthday is closer, I enjoy going out with my mom to celebrate together. To end this letter, I want you to know that I gave all this information to an AAC member. LW is a source of blessing for many children and teenagers like me. It is a meaningful project because the staff preaches God’s word to everybody. Therefore, my mom and I are deeply grateful. I will leave you now, but thank you so much for taking the time to read my information. May God bless you!

From the bottom of my heart,

Melvin Steven Alexander Galdamez Jolan
