I am so excited to greet you by this letter and I hope you are receiving many blessings from our God. My name is Sara Roxana Suar Jimon. I am ten years old. I have four siblings. My mother and father live with me. My mother is a hardworking housewife. She also weaves clothing to make some extra money. My father works as a day laborer and plants corn in the right season. He supports the family economically. To spend time with family we go out to walk on the weekends. Last Christmas we celebrated it by making tamales and enjoying them at lunchtime. I live in a humble home in Chixocol. My house is located about a 40-minute walk from the feeding program. The house is property of my family. There are two rooms and a separate kitchen. The house is made of adobe, the roof is made tin sheet, and the floor is made of cement. We have running water and electricity. The house is in good condition. Thank God my family and I are healthy. The pandemic affected our economy because the price of many products in the market and the price of the buses increased. I am repeating third grade this year. I have face-to-face classes Monday to Friday for 2 hours a day (10 AM to 12 PM). The pandemic has affected my learning because I do not understand my assignments and struggle to read. I do not have internet access for school. In my free time, I help my mother with the house chores. I attend Charismatic Church which is located about 15 minutes away from our house. We were sad when the church closed due to the pandemic because we missed attending the services. What I miss most from the feeding center is the food and spending time with my friends. Our greatest needs are shoes and clothes. I send you a strong hug from the bottom of my heart. May God bless you always! The evangelism team is speaking to families in Quiche by phone call. They spoke to my mother to receive this information.
Hugs and blessings,
Sara Roxana Suar Jimon
