PENDING PHOTO 2022
Hello! I thank you for reading my update information. My name is Juana Maribel Garcia Garcia. I am already 17 years old. By the grace of God my family and I are in good health. This year, I am not attending school because I did not want to, and last year, I was in 5th grade. I spend my time helping with the chores at home. But, once in a while, I go to work in a restaurant for a week; I try to contribute to the income. What I missed the most while the feeding program was closed for the pandemic situation was the fried chicken. I thank God because the program is open again, and I walk only 15 minutes to get there. My father earns a living by farming the land and as a day laborer. In the last coffee bean harvest, he did not go to the coast due to his age since he gets tired quickly. My mother is a housewife; in addition, she raises and sells hens and turkeys to help herself economically.
I love spending time with my family; sometimes, we buy some snacks to share in the afternoon. Lately, we could not celebrate Christmas due to a lack of resources. At the moment, we are not attending church. In this opportunity, an evangelism teacher from LW encouraged us to look for a church and seek God. We live in our property; there are 2 rooms made of adobe and tin sheet roof with a dirt floor. The kitchen is separate. We get water from a natural spring and use a candle for light at night. The house condition is good for now. Like everybody, my family was affected by the pandemic, especially in our economy due to lack of work. Thank God, we were blessed with food parcels from Living Water, and each product was a big help to us since it helped us to go ahead. My family and I are very grateful. Our principal need at home is groceries for now. Finally, I want to let you know that the LW team called us and asked for this updated information, so my mother provided it to them over the phone. I say goodbye to you for now, but I hope to receive news from you soon. Every blessing for you!
