My Story

PENDING PHOTO 2022

Hello! My name is Vilma Gabriela Luis Morente, and I am so happy to greet you affectionately through this. I am fifteen years old. I am not attending school, so I help my mom with the houisehold work. I have problems walking by myself, due to this, I do not attend school. I help my mom with the chores at home. I am happy for the feeding program is open again. The program is located forty minutes away from home by walking, although doing it is difficult to me. My father does masonry work to provide for my family economically. He works five days a week. My mom stays home and she also raises domestic animals which she sells whenever it is needed. We can spend time with my parents every time we go for a walk or go somewhere, so we talk and share on this time. My family and I did celebrate Christmas, had a very nice time and enjoyed these special days.

We attend Prince of Peace Christian Church that is located thirty minutes away from home by walking. The time the church was closed due to the pandemic, we got sad and concerned about that. The three-room house we live in, has separate kitchen and is made of mud-brick, tin sheet roof and dirt floor which we would like to change for better material. We would appreciate your prayers for us to get this goal in the future. Thanks for your prayers. The house has electricity and we get water from a well, for we do not have running water. We live with my brother and sister-in-law, so we share the household expenses. We thank God for being faithful to us all this time, especially the pandemic time which has been very difficult for my family and me. As clothing and food supplies is a greatest need at home, I thank to the feeding program for the grocery bags we received, which was all a great help, and my family was nourished thanks to it. I thank to all people who made it possible. At the moment, my family and I are all doing well, thanks to God. Lastly, I want you to know, my mom gave this information to an Evangelism team member to share with you my last news. I say good bye to you for now. Thank you for reading this.

Lots of blessings,

Vilma Gabriela Luis Morente
