My name is Juan Antonio. I am 13 years old and I live along with my parents and siblings. I attend 4th grade. I am studying from home with study guides that my older sister picks up from my school. My sister helps me to deliver my homework to my school every 15 days, and at the same time, she receives the new study guides. It has been very difficult for my parents to support me at school due to our economic situation. I appreciate their struggles to give me the opportunity to study. Currently, I am working in a bakery with one of my uncles and I do my homework at night. My father works as a construction helper and strives to cover our family expenses. My mother is a housewife, and she also works by making tortillas to help my father with the income.
Thank God, the covid-19 pandemic has been not affected us very much since my father has his job. Moreover, we received support from my school and the municipality. In spite of the hard times, we have never lacked food, and we are sure that it is thanks to God´s faithfulness towards us. We are deeply thankful to Living Water / Adopt A Child for the groceries which have been really helpful for us. The help arrived when we needed it most. Once when my mother was not at home, my sister and I prepared the meal for our parents. We give thanks to you and LW for blessing us during the pandemic, and we pray to God to bless you in each area of your life. Fortunately, we are in good health, and none of us have been infected with covid-19 so far. At the moment we are not attending any church. I want to let you know that an evangelism teacher of LW called me by phone to get this updated information since the feeding program is still closed due to the pandemic. I say good bye to you for now. May God bless you!
Lot of hugs,
Juan Antonio Lopez Perez
