Hello! I send you a cordial greeting. I hope you are in good health together with your loved ones. I want to share with you a little about my family and me. I live with my parents and my three sisters. Thank God, we all are well. My father is working as a construction helper from Monday to Sunday in our town. My mother works in a tortilla business from Monday to Friday. While my parents are working, I am attending school. After school I go to the library and I leave at 5:00 pm. My sisters take care of me when I get home. My sisters do the household chores and prepare the food. I attend the LW clinic because I want to get a medical checkup and I want to receive my vitamins. I am attending school and I am in the 2nd grade at school. My favorite subjects are calligraphy and ¨aprestamiento¨ (it is a subject where the child learns to develop skills and abilities). I really like to read and write. Thank God, I only dedicate my time to my studies. I visit a municipality called ¨Esquipulas¨ (it is a place where they have different recreation parks and a catholic church). We ate fried chicken and drank soda and had a great time.

For Christmas, my mother prepared ¨ponche¨ (hot fruit drink). We went to visit my grandmother and she prepared ¨pepian¨ (typical dish) for lunch. We also burned firecrackers with my friends who live near my grandmother’s house. My desire is to become a good teacher and teach many children like my teacher does now. In the future, my desire is to find a job and help my family economically. In my free time, I do my homework in the library and play tic tac toe with my friends. I also read books and my favorite is Pinocchio, and I learned not to tell lies. We do not attend a church because my parents do not want to, but we believe in God. I never attended a church, but I know about God because I learn about him in the feeding program. I like to attend the program because I receive delicious food and my favorite meal is chicken broth. When we have some problems, I pray to God for us. I ask for your prayers for my studies. One of my sisters is fifteen years old and she is in the 8th grade. I say goodbye to you for now with much love.

Many blessings,

Juan Antonio Lopez Perez
