My Story

Hello, everybody! My full name is Daniyanci Mery Roose Juarez Gutierrez and I am so happy to share a little bit about my life with you. I am 10 years old and I am doing my best at school as a fourth-grade student. I prefer cold weather rather than hot. I am doing well, although I suffer from sensitive skin and allergies when I get insect bites. I live with my parents and young brother. Could you please pray for my family and me? My mother is a housewife, but she works by making and selling flavored shaved ice, which we typically call “granizadas”. She suffers from issues in her mouth and gallbladder, but she already receives medical assistance at the public health center. My father also makes a living by doing informal work. He suffers from a chronic backache, but he has not gone to the doctor because of a lack of financial resources. He used to receive care through the Guatemalan social security, but the treatment he underwent did not help alleviate his health issues.

We attend the Catholic Church and what motivates us to persevere there is learning more and more about God while we take part in the holy mass. I am grateful to sister Princesa (a member of the LW staff) because she shared the gospel with my father as an encouragement to take care of his salvation and continue looking for God. I want to use this opportunity to express to you how grateful my family and I are to LW-Adopt A Child for all the support that I have received during the last two years. My father enrolled my brother and me there because he wanted us to enjoy all the benefits that he used to receive when he was a child. He remembers with much joy that he was one of the first children in take part in this project. He is not sure if his child number was DU0029 or DU0027. It is time to say goodbye, but I hope to hear from you soon.
