My Story

It is my pleasure to say hello to you and I trust that our Lord is blessing you!

Praise the Lord my family and I attend a Christian Church; we go on Saturdays. My mother has accepted Jesus in her heart, and we trust our in God our salvation. My mother is Celia Yolanda Garcia Garcia, and she is 33 years old. She stays busy with the duties at home. My father is Ronaldo Alexander Calachij Calachij, and he is 33 years old. He makes a living by working as a bricklayer in our village to support our family. Due to a lack of space at home, we do not raise animals or grow anything. So, we have to buy corn and black beans for our consumption. Thankfully, I am healthy and as well my family.

I am Cristel Yamileth Calachij Garcia, and I am an 8-year-old girl. I am a first-grade student; I receive classes at school, and it is better for me to comprehend the lessons when my teacher explains them. Fortunately, my father can supply what I need at school. When I grow up, I would like to be a nurse and help many people. I would like to learn English; I think it is a very interesting language. I enjoy playing football, which is the sport I like the most. My favorite drink is coffee which is delicious. I like Christmas time because we eat “tamales” (a typical dish), and I light some firecrackers. Someday, I would like to have a party with my family to celebrate my birthday. I take this opportunity to give endless thanks for all the support I receive through Living Water; the meals are a great blessing for me and it is an economic savings for my parents. The most needed items at home are groceries and corn. We thank God for blessing us and providing for our daily sustenance. Well, this is all for now and I hope to receive news from you very soon.
