Hello! I send you warm greetings hoping you are doing well. My name is Rolman Duban Riz De La Cruz, and I am 6 years old. I was in kindergarten grade this year, and I attended school the whole week. It was difficult for me to study last year due to the method, but it changed this year, and I did a good job at school. I play with my toys in my free time. I missed the feeding program’s lunches, but it has opened its doors again and I am happy for that. I walk for 10 minutes to arrive to the program. My father covers our needs working as a farmer while my mother does the laundry for others and sells tortillas in the local plaza to help with the income. Two older sisters work as maids, and they help the family financially. They also sometimes buy food to share as a family, and we enjoy these moments.
We do not have the custom of celebrating Christmas due to our low resources. We stopped attending church, so we were encouraged to seek God’s Way again. We live in my grandmother’s house, and it has three rooms and a separate kitchen. The house is made of adobe with a tin sheet/tile roof and dirt/concrete floor; our roof is not in good condition, and it affects us during the rainy season. We have running water and electricity services. I would like to ask you to pray for my father because he is having problems with his blood pressure and nerves; he has not visited a doctor and is only taking medicine for it. This situation plus the current virus has affected us financially, and it is difficult for my parents to cover our needs. We are a humble family, and we are in need of groceries, clothes and shoes. Unfortunately some weeks ago, I fell down when I was playing, and I got hurt. I had to have a surgery in my stomach. I am at a public hospital recovering from it. Please keep me in your prayers. I was able to write you this letter thanks to my father’s and an Evangelism teacher’s support. I wish you the best.
