My Story

I am Joshua Isai Hernandez, and it is a pleasure for me to greet you through this. I am sixteen years old. This year I am in 9th grade and attending school once a week. I receive online classes the rest of the days. I send my schoolwork by means of WhatsApp. I have a hard time understanding some assignments because the teachers do not give enough explanations. The thing I missed from the feeding program was coming with my friends to eat. I get there in five minutes by walking. My mom sells a variety of products to support my family financially. My stepfather sells on the street, and thanks to it, he provides for our family economically. We don't go out anywhere as a family, so we watch movies at home. We celebrated Christmas as a family with tamales and fruit punch. At the moment, we are not attending any church.

We rent a humble and small house of one room and a separate kitchen. We would like to have our own house. Please pray for us to have it one day in the future. Thank you for your prayers. The walls are made of cement block, the roof of tin sheets and the floor of concrete. It does have electricity and running water. The house condition is good. The pandemic affected my mom and stepfather as salespeople because sales dropped, and they had to meet commitments. Food supplies and study expenses are great needs at home, so that’s why, I thank the feeding program for the grocery bags we received. It was a blessing and a great help for my family and me. God bless you! Thank God, my family and I are all doing well at the moment. Finally, I want you to know that my mom gave this information to an Evangelism team member to share with you my last news. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Take care!

Yours truly,

Joshua Isai Hernandez
