My Story

It is a privilege for me to say hello to you through this letter. I am Wilson and I want to share my last news with you. I hope this finds you doing well. My family and I attend the Catholic Church of our community on Wednesdays and Sundays. Fortunately, our health condition is good. My mother’s name is Maria Gomez and she is 33 years old. Since my father abandoned us, my mother has done her best for me. Nowadays, she works as a domestic employee. Unfortunately, my mother does not have a stable job and her income is not adequate to cover all the needs at home. We need firewood and groceries. Fortunately, I am part of the feeding program. Thanks to your loving support, the staff provides delicious dishes to many children like me, which represents an enormous help for many families. To survive, we harvest corn and beans for our consumption.

I am in fourth grade this year. I agree to receive face-to-face classes because I enjoy attending school. I would love to become a lawyer. Besides speaking my native language, I also would like to learn how to speak English. My favorite holiday is Independence Day. I really enjoy all the activities that people organize for that day. In my country, we celebrate that holiday on September 15th. I love drinking peach juice and playing football. I had my tenth birthday in January. I love celebrating a new year of life with my whole family. To end this letter, I want you to know that a member of the LW staff spoke with my mother to collect all this information for you. I say goodbye to you for now, but I hope to hear from you soon. May God bless you!

Cordiality yours,

Wilson Adolfo Itzep Gomez
