My Story

Hello! It is a pleasure to greet you through this letter. In this opportunity, I want to share some news about my family and me. My mother`s name is Cecilia de la Cruz Ruiz. She is 39 years old. At the moment, she continues doing chores at home and taking care of the family. In addition, she raises hens to sell and get some income. My father`s name is Santos Garcia Pastor.  He is 47 years old. He continues earning a living by working as a farmer and day laborer in order to support our family. We grow black beans for our family's consumption. Our current needs are corn and firewood because we are a humble family. Nowadays, we continue attending the Prince of Peace Church every Friday.  Thank you to the LW evangelism team for the encouraging words that they shared with my mother during the visit. Thank God, my family and I are in good health.

My name is Ramiro Garcia De La Cruz and I am 11 years old. This year, I am in 5th grade at school.  I am receiving face-to-face classes every day and I like this study method because I learn a lot about topics. Thank God, my parents are making an effort to support me at school. My dream is to work in a grocery store. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn Spanish to improve my communication with others. “New Year” is a celebration that I enjoy because I like to begin a new year. My favorite beverage is “Incaparina” (a hot drink made of soy flour).  What I like about my birthday is to eat “tamales” (a typical dish).  Among sports, I prefer soccer. My family and I are grateful to Living Water because we have been blessed with meals, medical and dental, and spiritual support. Thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive through LW Adopt-A-Child in December. I hope you like to read my letter. May God bless you greatly!

Lots of love,

Ramiro Garcia De La Cruz
