My Story

I lovingly greet you, and I hope you are well as you read this letter and that it is a blessing for you to hear about me. This is, Petrona Vanesa Garcia Chingo. I am 8 years old now. This year, I am attending school in second grade. My best experience has been attending school because I wanted to learn reading and writing. God has been faithful and helped me in my studies.  For me, Jesus is my Savior. I identify with my grandmother because I like her personality. My best friend is Karina. We have been friends for two years, and we enjoy playing soccer.

As you now, my father is working in the United States. He works for six months and then he comes back to Guatemala and stays with us. Now, he works in a plant nursery. He sends us a monthly support. My mother is in charge of our family while my father is working far away. She stays at home doing her household chores, and she also raised cows, goats and chickens to sell. My family attends the Catholic church. My favorite activity at church is thanksgiving for immigrants. I appreciate that the evangelism teachers took the time to share the gospel with my mother and encouraged her to continue trusting in God. My mother helped to provide my information.
