My Story

Hello! My name is Mayeli Julieta Calachij Rodriguez and I feel blessed through the Feeding Program since my mother enrolled me due to the support with medicines and tasty meals for free. I have attended the Program for five years, and my mother is grateful for every support because it is a big blessing for many children like me.

I am eleven years old and I am in 3^rd grade. My favorite weather is hot because I love the pools. I live with my parents and they are doing well. I want you to know that my father is living with us again because he returned from the United States seven months ago. Currently, he is working as a farmer and day laborer to support the family and my mother also is a day laborer. I help her to sweep and wash clothing.

As for our spiritual life: we attend the Catholic Church and we love masses. The LW teacher encouraged my mother to continue seeking God and prayed for health for my whole family. My mother shared this information and we are secure in our salvation because we already accepted Jesus in our hearts. Well, I send you all my best wishes and I hope you are doing well when my letter reaches you. I love you so much!
